My week in breakfasts
If you have been following along on FB or Instagram you may have noticed that I’ve been very focussed on breakfasts for some reason this week, maybe because it’s been so cold, not sure but I’ve certainly been hungry anyway! As we all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, don’t know about in your house but the girls lunches often come back half uneaten (usually the days they have sandwiches) so I want to make sure they at least go off to school with full tummies. With gluten being an issue in our house toasts and cereals aren’t top of the list so I’m trying to be a bit more creative.
My favourite of the week was the Shakshuka but that’s probably only realistic for breakfast on the weekends. It is going to become a regular around here though, loved it.
My standby is yoghurt, muesli & berries or for something a little bit more special the Yoghurt, Cinnamon, Honey & Pomegranate “parfait”. C’mon we have to talk it up, it is delicious and “yoghurt cup” doesn’t do it justice!
If you like the pretty glassware and napkins they are from Humble Beginnings in Randwick, NSWThe girls really liked the Ricotta Hotcakes with fruit & GT polished off this stack in about 2 seconds flat.
Back on the yoghurt I really loved the Lemon Curd & LSA delight, it was like a burst of sunshine on a cold morning.
I did sneak in a few Green Juices to make myself feel virtuous
The girls won’t do “green” so I tried them with pink! Strawberry &/or Raspberry Smoothies went down a treat
I’m going to try some home made baked beans on the weekend I think so stay tuned for those and then of course there is always the ever faithful Boiled Eggs and Soldiers!
Keen to try any of these? What is your favourite breakfast?

I’ve been enjoying Brookfarm muslei for breakfast lately, but today were in such a rush I just bolted down a gf muslei bar. Your breakfasts look much more appetising indeed!
Thank you. It’s hard sometimes in the morning isn’t it? I’m going to check out the Brookfarm Muesli too, thanks for the tip on those.
