Halloween: some “achievable” gruesome ideas, spooky links & crazy creepy food!

halloween-diy-web

Halloween!  Do you get into it?  We’ve done trick or treating for the last couple of years I can take it or leave it but last year the kids really got into it so we decorated the front of the house, got dressed up and walked the streets with a pack of ghoulies!  We never did anything for it when I was growing up but it’s really become a “thing” in Australia now hasn’t it?  What do you do?

Our little school is going to be having a disco so there is great excitement over that (it’s one way to shake out the sugar  anyway) so I’ve been grave digging through the internet to find some quick & easy and clever ideas for food, decorations and games.  The photo above is my attempt at a very quick DIY “Juice Box Mummy” using loo paper and a “sharpie” pen and tissue Ghosts!

Below are links to some very creative but easy to do ideas…I will be posting about scary cakes later in the week….Happy Halloween!

The very lovely Mum Of Five Girls has a great edit of easy to do Halloween crafts – how cute are the mason jar mummies? Will definitely be doing these to light the path out of the disco!

We will definitely be doing a “Mystery Box” guessing game with all sorts of gooey, gruesome grossness inside, apparently that is my job as a helper at the disco, nice!

The clever entertaining site Pizzazzarie has loads of very sophisticated party ideas but these Monster Munch Treat cups look achievable.
