Sumac & Lemon Lamb Cutlets

Sumac & Lemon lamb cutlets

Are you fan of the lamb cutlet?  I absolutely craved them when I was pregnant with my fussy one, she loves “meat on a stick” now, a guaranteed thing she isn’t fussy about thankfully, true story. While “meat on a stick” doesn’t sound particularly appetising, even though we love it, “Sumac & Lemon Lamb Cutlets” sound quite sophisticated don’t they? What’s more they taste delicious.

Sumac & Lemon Lamb Cutlets

These cutlets are so simple to make yet the addition of sumac and lemon really ups the flavour taking an every day meal to the next level.

I saw the recipe originally in an old Gourmet Traveller magazine and adapted it to my basic cooking capabilities. I also attempted a sort of tempura cauliflower, broccoli and sage side to go with it that was, shall we say, an epic fail, which is why I’ve cropped most of it out of the photo below and you won’t be seeing that recipe appearing on the blog any time soon that’s for sure!

Sumac is one of my favourite spices to use in the kitchen – such a simple but delicious recipe. I’m afraid I had an epic fail yesterday too with a cake that didn’t rise and was about as heavy as a lead balloon!
