Beef Fillets with Spiced Honey Sauce

Beef-fillets-with-Spiced-Honey-Sauce-webA quick and healthy mid week meal with a bit of something to dress it up a bit and still be appealing to kids.  This one is without carbs but you could add potatoes if you need to.

Recipe serves 4.  Any left over steak could go in wraps the next day for lunch with salad

Beef Fillets with Spiced Honey Sauce


  • 4 beef steaks (small eye-fillets would be nice but whatever you choose)
  • 3 carrots
  • 200 g green beans, topped & tailed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 head broccoli
  • 2 zucchini's
  • For the sauce
  • 15g butter
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce (or tamari if you want gluten free)
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp water


  1. Cut veggies into thin strips, and small florets and cook (preferably steamed but whatever way you prefer)
  2. Heat oil in fry pan, add steaks and cook until tender
  3. For the sauce
  4. Heat the butter in a saucepan, add ginger and cook for 1 minute. Add honey, sauces and water and stir over heat until boiling
  5. Plate up with veggies on the bottom and steak on top then pour over sauce
