Beef, Broccoli & Green Bean Stir Fry – 10 minutes and you are done!

This is a super simple, very quick and easy mid week meal that can literally be made in minutes.  We often have this after swimming lessons when it’s getting late and the kids are hangry!  It can be served over noodles or steamed rice, or you could try cauliflower rice as an idea. We usually go for soba noodles as they only take 3 minutes to cook and then I just throw them in the wok at the end of the cooking time and mix it all together.

It’s pretty basic this one but some nights that’s all you need, right?

Beef, Broccoli & Green Bean Stir Fry – 10 minutes and you are done

  • 3 Tbsp Tamari or soy sauce
  • 500 g beef stir fry strips (this is enough for 2 adults 2 small children so you may need more for bigger eaters)
  • 1 medium broccoli cut into bite sized florets
  • Big handful of green beans, topped, tailed and cut in half
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp Macadamia oil or a light oil of your choice
  • 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 packet of soba noodles or 2 C rice of your choice

  1. If you have time marinate the beef strips in the tamari sauce for at least an hour or overnight. If you don't have time don't worry just let it marinate while you cut up the veggies and it will still have add flavour.
  2. Heat your oil in a wok or big based fry pan and then add the meat. Brown it lightly cooking for 1 - 2 minutes.
  3. Add veggies and garlic and stir through then add the oyster sauce. Cook for a further 2 - 3 minutes, stirring
  4. Add the noodles or rice to the wok and mix through
  5. You are done!
