7 Ways with Anzacs. Slices, Cakes, Bickies and even a Pavlova!
I posted my Lemon Iced Anzac Slice recipe last week which we love around here
but there are some deliciously clever things being done out there in internet land with Anzac Bickie ingredients. I’ve pulled together a round up of some of the yumminess that you might like to try over this ANZAC Day weekend or just to drool over if baking isn’t your thing.
I love granola and when I saw this ANZAC Biscuit Granola by Not Quite Nigella I thought that I’d have to get onto this

Then a couple of years ago I created an ANZAC pavolva by accident but a very happy accident it was!
We were going on a ANZAC Day picnic and I said I’d make a pav and the obligatory Anzac biscuits. Well for unknown reasons the biscuits just wouldn’t stick together so rather than for them to go to waste I crumbled them on top of the pavlova instead.  One of my more inspired moments I’d have to say. The result was pure YUM!  I used Nigella Lawson’s Cappuccino Pavlova recipe, topped it with cream and then put the Anzac crumbs on top.  Doubly patriotic!!
On a more serious note the girls school had a very moving Anzac service last Sunday with members of the the local RSL and other armed service dignatories. Â The old diggers were very touched to see the primary school children showing their respect through music and song and it really is a case of “Lest we Forget”.
Also this moving post from Lauren at The Thud is beautifully written about why thank you will never be enough.
Oh I loved your slice, Sammies golden icing looks a treat & who wouldn’t smash a pavlova covered in Anzac bikkie crumb… Delicious.
I think Saturday will involved catching up on some washing after our monsoon, which isn’t the greatest but I do have a fab recipe I’m puting up Anzac day in celebration of all things Anzac bikkie, my Anzac Cheesecake Log… Nom nom nom… May involved salted caramel. Lol
I can’t wait to see that! Sounds delicious – all the noms!
Thank you so much for sharing my cookies! I hope you have an amazing ANZAC Day! I think ours will be quiet… But definitely with some Cookies involved! Xxx

What a delicious looking round up. Seeing my ANZAC slice is in there was a very sweet surprise. I’m going to make my ANZAC Marmalade slice tomorrow because… orangey boom!
I had written this post before I saw you marmalade version because otherwise I would have had to make it 8 ways with Anzacs. Have a great weekend x

I think I am the only person in Australia who has never bakes ANZAC cookies. I love your round up though, lots of inspiration there x
Really? I think you might be!!!! I have to admit to being too lazy to roll out the cookies this year and went with a slice version every time (but I did make about 5000 batches!). I might have to send you some!
Just went through the archives and whipped up your ANZAC slice recipe for tomorrow. Very hard not to try it out tonight 😃
The girls have been eating it all week – a favourite here too!
