Your Weekly Feed

Is it a long weekend where you are?  We have some great friends taking advantage of the extended weekend and have ventured to the Tropical North for the first time to visit us.  Of course we are having the obligatory ANZAC bikkies too and will be up to watch the march tomorrow morning.  As there is a big army base here ANZAC Day is a big thing.  Back onto food though did you see some of the yummy looking ANZAC Biscuit variations on the interwebs this week? I know you are busy so shall we get to Your Weekly Feed so you can tick off “what’s for dinner, lunch, breakfast, treats” your list?

There was such a big variety linked up last week, as usual it’s hard to pick only a few to highlight but Chocolate Meets Strawberries Slow Cooker Chicken & Pea Risotto caught my attention as I’d never thought about using the slow cooker for a risotto before.  What a great idea and this risotto looks the biz too.

I’m definitely going to give this Pumpkin and Fetta Pull Apart Bread a try from Country Life Experiment as Jo has made it look achievable, not to mention delicious.

Clever Kim of Land of Zonkt, my co-host,  has shared her Turkey Pastitsio with Chardonnay Bechamel. I have made this before and can vouch for how tasty it is.  Worth a try and doesn’t it just shout out “comfort food”?

I’m gearing up to start entertaining properly again with the house being at the presentable stage so this Sunken Drunken Chocolate Cake from Plus Ate Six is going to be the dessert for sure – with a name like that how could you not make it right? (It’s gluten free too)

    Hurrah for long weekends! It sounds like you’ll be having a fantastic one with your first-time visitors coming to stay! I love this time of the year and the delicious baked goods it brings with it. Now that I’m in the blogosphere I’m loving the look of the many Anzac-themed and Anzac-hybrid recipes that are out there.Thanks so much for featuring my risotto recipe as well!       Thanks Lisa. My friends had to enjoy the weekend without me unfortunately as I’ve been struck down with the horrible flu but they did have a good time and saw the delights of our town. Thanks for all the yumminess you have linked up x

      I didn’t get to see much of our visitors unfortunately but they said they had a good time! I’m mobile today which is something!! Thanks for sharing your yummy meals with us too xx
