Fathers Day 2016 Gift Guide

Fathers Day Gift Guide 2016

Fathers Day seems to have crept up on us, it’s going to be September, already!!!  I haven’t got my beloved Dad to get a present for anymore but because the girls are still young I do get GT something on their behalf as well as them giving the gloriously creative gifts that they make at school!

Really for me, any excuse to go shopping is a good one!!  So I’ve been trawling through the interwebs and come up with a few suggestions that are a little bit different to the socks and jocks & all available online. See if the Dad’s in your life would like any of these fab finds.

For the Dad who likes a bit of style on his desk…

Harrison Lamp from Temple & Webster on sale for $119.00

For the Dad’s that like to smell like they have been hard at work DIYing (but haven’t really) this Sawdust scented Man Candle might get them (or you, whatever) in the mood!

Also on sale this week at Temple & Webster $25.95

What Dad wouldn’t want his own Fire Pit I ask????

This African Cast Iron one is on sale at The Block Shop for $396.00, it can also be used as a planter bowl if fire isn’t his thing.  If he does like gardening how about his very own Copper & Timber Hand Trowel?

Also from The Block Shop $32.95.  By the way, are you watching The Block this season? I haven’t started to just yet as am still scared by our renovation experience but no doubt will be into it by the end.

Does the Dad in your life like to be contactable all the time where ever he may be? This Freeloader solar panel charger thingy maybe just what he wants.

I found this at Biome and it’s selling for $39.95.

Is he a wine lover? Perhaps a Wine Club subscription?  I’m with Vinomofo and I love everything I’ve tried so far, actually I’m just waiting on another case of “Little Helper” to turn up in time for the weekend (my favourite Prosecco at the moment)

Click on the photo or here to check out all the different deals available.

I love Dr Seuss and all the sentiments in this print by Hunting for George $69.00

Does his toiletry bag need an upgrade? I like this Vintage Leather one from The Iconic at $99

My Dad was a doctor and supported Medicines Sans Frontiers so a donation to them, or a charity of the Dad in your life’s choice might be nice too.

But it wouldn’t be Fathers Day without a Soap on a Rope now would it?

This one is handmade and Palm Oil free to make it extra special though from Biome at $12.95

As I’m not exactly sure what we are doing for Fathers Day yet I haven’t thought about a meal plan but a couple of years ago we had a full “Dude Food Fest” which I wrote about here, Beer Can Chicken anyone?

Beer Can Chicken

Last year I also put together a slightly quirky gift guide if you are still on the hunt for more ideas.

Have you got any gift ideas for Fathers Day this year? What will you be doing?

Since my back is playing up I too will be searching the interwebs for the perfect present which can come delivered to our door. The toiletry bag you found was great

I’ve ordered some cute socks online that you can personalise with a Daddy and a baby dinosaur and your children’s names – my husband always needs more socks.

I’ve got a very dud (and fortunately very absent) dad so I’ve never celebrated Father’s Day but I do love checking out the gifts because I always get inspiring ideas for hubby (AKA the hardest person to buy for in the world.) That solar charging thing is ace and we’re fans of Vinomofo too, I must check out Little Helper 🙂

Great ideas Vicki! I have not been as creative this year – my hubby is getting a screwdriver set and my Dad is getting an iTunes voucher and some liquorice treats. I usually make some kind of card with a photo on it to make it all feel a little bit more personal!
